It came back to me slowly (part three)

Installed at Smack Mellon in 2006, the Old American Can Factory in 2008, and the Newtown Creek Barge Playground in 2015, the waterfront and bollards in this case were “seeded” with a pervasive amount of small red dots, each handmade by winding short lengths of red wire into a tiny knotted ball. The composition of the dots was entirely determined by the geography of the terrain. There were more and less concentrated areas, but the piece disappeared from several feet away, making it impossible to perceive the entire work at once or determine its overall dimensions.
